IntelliSystems recently joined Children’s Place, Inc.’s Executive Director Peggy Ford to gift $2,500 to the Guardian Angel program.
The Children’s Place serves families in Aiken, Bamberg, Barnwell, Edgefield, and McCormick Counties in South Carolina, with their overall mission being to “protect, heal, and strengthen children and families from the impact of trauma and other adverse experience through education, treatment, and prevention services.”
The annual Guardian Angel program provides children with clothing basics and other essentials to keep warm during the cooler months, such as coats, shoes, socks, etc. Donations also help equip their classrooms with educational materials and treatment supplies throughout the year. Each December, the Children’s Place takes their children on a shopping trip to purchase clothing items, accompanied by a combination of staff and volunteers.
“The people at IntelliSystems have followed the ongoing work over the years that Peggy and staff at Children's Place do to enhance the lives of children in our area,” said Kevin Wade, President/CEO of IntelliSystems. “We are so thrilled to be able to contribute in a small way to further their mission, as they expand into their new headquarters facility in Aiken this year.”
